We have assembled a team of senior investment professionals with deep sector and exceptional market experience. Our team has over 100 years of experience in real estate and have worked through a number of cycles. Prior to establishing Hobart Partners, the partners completed circa £10 bn of real estate transactions globally.
Jeff Harris – Founding Partner

Jeff’s 30 years of global real estate experience includes principal investment, capital raising, troubled debt restructuring and risk management.
Since 2007, Jeff has raised capital for and underwritten deals over £1.0 bn of investment in the UK; sourcing and funding acquisitions, refinancing, development and seeding of a new platform. Capital was sourced from US, UK and European investors. His background is grounded in senior risk officer and board level positions at Citibank, GE Capital, Lehman Brothers and the US Treasury. Jeff spent five years in the early 90’s as a banking regulator focused on restructuring real estate portfolios at US regional and multi- national banks.
Jeff was an FSA/FCA Approved Person for more than a decade for risk and investment management. Jeff earned his Finance degree from George Mason University and a Masters in Real Estate Finance from New York University.
Sas Bhadra – Founding Partner

Sas’s 15 years of real estate experience includes real estate investment transactions, sourcing debt, portfolio management and deal structuring.
He has experience across all the main property sectors in the UK. In the last 10 years, he was involved in originating, underwriting, executing, and asset managing transactions, as both a team member and team leader in excess of £2.5 bn. Prior to co-founding Hobart, he held senior managerial roles in an affiliate of Kildare Partners, a Real Estate Special Situations Fund with over $2.0 bn of equity under management and targeting returns in excess of 15%. Before that he worked for Pradera, a European Real Estate Retail Fund with over £2.0 bn AUM. Sas qualified as an ACA and started his career in corporate finance with a big 4 accounting practice in 2004 before moving into real estate fund management.
Sas also holds a MBA from Durham University.
Richard Gore – Partner

Richard heads the retail business. He has in excess of 30 years’ experience in the retail sector especially the out of town retail sector in the UK and Europe.
He started his career as a developer of retail parks culminating in the development of the award winning Glasgow Fort Shopping Park. He then moved into the investment side acquiring and actively asset managing several million sq.ft of retail parks throughout the UK totalling several billion pounds.
Prior to joining Hobart, Richard was an Executive Director and Head of Retail (UK and ROI) of Savills Investment Management. Prior to SIM he was a Managing Director at Pradera where he co-founded the UK business . Prior to that he was Managing Director of Block Holdings a club fund & which was sold to an institutional investor in 2005. Before that he was Managing Director of Capital & Regional Retail Parks which acquired Lanham Holdings a company he co-owned. He started his career at Citygrove where he was a Director.
Richard is a Chartered Surveyor, being a member of the RICS as well as other industry bodies. He holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Urban Estate Surveying from Nottingham Trent University
Huw Griffiths – Partner

Huw has 30 years’ plus experience in property, development and construction where he has managed projects from origination to disposal, through either direct development or joint ventures, with an emphasis on front end site assembly, acquisition and planning work.
Huw has been responsible for procuring planning permission for over 2,000,000 sqft of business space, c.300,000 sqft of retail space, 3000 dwellings and a portfolio of 3000 student beds, much of which he has overseen through delivery and disposal.
In 2008, Huw joined Mace to establish their development business with one of the Group Board Directors being a key part of building the Mace Development business. He originated and delivered a number of city fringe mixed use and commercial developments, as well as creating a wider student and BTR portfolio. Many sites involved dealing with complicated site assembly and neighbourly matters, including Rights of Light and CPO, in what were usually challenging planning environments. Over 13 years he led the majority of site acquisitions and has overseen the majority of Maces planning consents for both commercial and residential projects in the portfolio that totals in excess of £1.5bn value. At Mace he reported directly to the Mace Develop Board. Prior to Mace, Huw was a national office developer at Goodman, responsible for obtaining planning permission and delivering several hundred thousand square foot office and residential space. He also worked as a Development Executive for Thames Water Property and led a team for Ridge acting as Account Manager for Vodafone.
Huw is a Chartered Surveyor, being a member of the RICS as well as other industry bodies. He holds a BSc degree in Surveying from South Bank University.
